The MiniPOS update server has changed again and this will be the last change. To upgrade prior to 7.7.7.x you will need to download Update 7.7.7.0 on just one head office computer and then install the normal way via System\System Update. To upgrade any version after this you will need to hold down the caps-lock key when starting MiniPOS to get the engineer functions to display and on the registry tab make sure ftp username is 'minipos' and ftp password is '12345' without the quotes.

Update Server Workaround

The update server is still down. I have released the following install which will upgrade MiniPOS installations from 7.0.5 or higher to 7.7.7.x . From this point the change of update server details have been made and they are editable for any future eventualities. If you want to upgrade to 7.7.0, download and install this program on one backoffice PC at head office with no other users running MiniPOS and then start MiniPOS. The upgrading of additional users, branches and tills will take place on startup or transfer with head office. Click Here To DownloadRead more »

** Link has been corrected ** The MiniPOS update server is still down. We have produced a temporary solution which will enable you to upgrade your MiniPOS system during this period. By downloading and running http://www.nicheinternational.com/SupportSite/UpdateDownload.exe you will be able to download all of the MiniPOS updates which equates to approximately 350Mb. Once all of the updates have been downloaded you will be able to upgrade MiniPOS in the normal fashion. In the meantime, if no solution has been found for the problem with the update server by next week we will move the server to a different hosting company. Read more »
